We educate and train students in managerial economics to prepare them for key managerial roles in businesses in the Asia-Pacific region. Our programme enables students to acquire quantitative and communication skills, to excel in economic theories and their applications and to obtain comprehensive and balanced knowledge in the different areas of business economics.
Entrance Requirements for Direct/Non-JUPAS Applicants
To be considered for admission, you must satisfy the General Entrance Requirements.
For senior-year (Advanced Standing II) admission, applicants are normally expected to have completed an Associate Degree/Higher Diploma with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 or equivalent overall mark, or a credit award. Preference may be given to applicants who have attained Level 4 or above in HKDSE English OR IELTS overall band score of 6.5 or above.
Applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Business economics plays an increasingly important role in managerial decision-making. Firms are concerned about economic strategies for their business operations, the influence of government policies and forecasting for and analyses of a multitude of economic variables. Graduates can choose from a wide range of career options, including corporate strategist, management consultant, economist, private banker, investment advisor, bank manager, credit analyst and securities analyst. The broad-based nature of the major also prepares students to pursue graduate studies in economics, finance, law and other disciplines.
